Auclair Retires As Senior Vice President Of Business Development And Licensing At SanDisk

SUNNYVALE, CA, Dec. 27, 2000 - SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK) announced today that Dan Auclair, SanDisk's senior vice president of business development and licensing, will retire from the company on Dec. 31, 2000, following an extended leave of absence.

Auclair joined SanDisk in 1990 as the vice president of systems engineering, which led to his transition to senior vice president of operations and technology in 1995. Auclair was promoted to his current post in 1998. With more than 20 years experience in the storage industry, Auclair previously held executive positions with several storage companies including Anamartic and Scientific Micro Systems.

Eli Harari, SanDisk CEO and president, said, "Dan has been a key figure in making SanDisk a successful company. He joined the company in our start-up days and continued to evolve in his duties, most recently in directing SanDisk's efforts to establish key partnerships and licensing agreements for our CompactFlash and MultiMediaCards. He has steadily demonstrated the leadership skills and efficient management style that helped SanDisk emerge as the world's largest supplier of flash data storage products.
