Eli Harari, the founder of SanDisk, served as chief executive officer and as a director of SanDisk from June 1988 through December 31, 2010. He also served as chairman of the board from June 2006 through December 31, 2010. From 1973 to 1988, Harari held various technical and management positions with Waferscale Integration, Inc., Honeywell Inc., Intel Corporation and Hughes Microelectronics Ltd. Harari earned his doctorate in solid state sciences from Princeton University and has more than 100 patents issued in the field of non-volatile memories and storage systems.
